Making Timeless Family Heirlooms for the Future

Here in Greater Des Moines, it's easy to be a kid. Whether your concept of family fun is a skate park, a smash park, a theme park, or an actual park, Des Moines is the ideal escape, no matter if you're young or just young at heart.

Gee, what could be more enjoyable than spring break with the kids? Those stunning children jumping on the sofa, fighting with each other, making a mess all over they go. It's adequate to drive a moms and dad wild. Get out of the home. Here's a list of things you can do with the rugrats free of charge, and they're enjoyable, too.

Register here: Bring a coat and enjoy the telescopes and expert assistance at a "Starr Celebration" at Caspers Wilderness Park from 7-9:30 p.m. There will be stargazing equipment on hand, but you can also bring your own. Activities happen at the nature center. Free admission, but parking is $5.

Kids can pick from a variety of seeds offered to take home and grow their own gardens (while supplies last). How about a scavenger hunt for teenagers at the Teenager Egg-Venture? Search for hints indoors at the Ronald J. Parks Community Leisure Center at 7 p.m. to win rewards, then take pleasure in a photo cubicle, video games, dodgeball, Karaoke and more till 9 p.m. 30875 Rancho Vista Road, Temecula.

There will be a timed egg scramble for kids ages 10 and under, enjoyable art activities, a kids play zone, live student musical, dance efficiencies, a neighborhood walking at 10:30 a.m. and more.
